Planning focuses District’s work on behalf of the public
As a part of its work to protect water resources, the St. Johns River Water Management District prepares a host of plans. These plans range from the District Water Supply Plan, Land Management plans, Water Supply Assessments, District Water Management Plan, Land Acquisition Plan and others. Each plan is developed to address specific District responsibilities, outlines how responsibilities will be met, and are updated as needed and in compliance with Florida laws.
In the preparation of these plans, public comment is often sought. Comment is also sought from specific groups that have an interest in certain topics so that the District can work cooperatively with the diverse individuals and groups that make up northeast and east-central Florida. These plans are posted to this website to give the public access to the details that have gone into setting the District’s focus areas.
